With the Groups feature, you can create or join a group for your boat club, sailing crew or group of friends, and see each other’s positions directly on the nautical chart. Perfect for staying together on the water and strengthening your sense of community.
Groups allow you to share your live location with others and see where their boats are. Everyone in the group needs to have the Skippo app installed and location sharing enabled.
How it works
- Create your own group with a name and image
- Invite others via a link
- Choose which groups or boats to show on the chart
Create a group
- Go to My Skippo > Following
- Tap Create group
- Name your group and add an image (optional)
- Tap Invite friends and share the link
Join a group
Received an invite link? Just tap the link from a mobile or tablet to join. The link opens in the Skippo app, so make sure the app is installed.
Show or hide groups on the chart
- Go to Plan > Chart settings
- Enable AIS & Skippo boats
- Select which groups to show or hide
This lets you customize the view so that only relevant boats are visible on the chart.
