Importing and exporting data

With GPX export, you can save your routes, places, and tracks as a file or export them individually.

This feature is useful if you want to share a route, plan in Skippo but navigate with a plotter, or move data between accounts.

By importing GPX files, you can also add previous routes and places from other navigation apps and keep all your navigation data in one place.

How to export your data

  1. Go to My Skippo in the app.
  2. Tap Routes, Places, or Tracks – depending on what you want to export.
  3. Choose one of the following options (A or B):

A) Export everything in the list

  1. Tap the blue link Export (GPX) at the top.
  2. To export all your data at once (routes, places, and tracks), tap Create GPX file for all your data.
  3. A file will be created – tap the icon on the far right of the file.
  4. Choose the app or location where you want to open or save the file.

B) Export a specific route, place, or track

  1. Tap the three dots to the right of the item you want to export.
  2. Select Export as GPX.
  3. A file will be created – tap the icon on the far right of the file.
  4. Choose the app or location where you want to open or save the file.

How to import your data

  1. Go to My Skippo in the app.
  2. Tap the gear icon (Settings).
  3. Select Export/Import GPX file.
  4. Tap Choose GPX file to import.
  5. Locate your file and tap on it to start the import.

Please note: It may take some time for the data to be imported, especially if the file is large. If you’re importing a file larger than 150 MB, we recommend splitting it into smaller parts – for example, by importing individual tracks separately.
