Login freezes or loads slowly on iPad

Over the past 24 hours, we've received reports from users with older iPad models (4th–8th generation) that login isn't working. The app gets stuck on a spinning symbol (often a blue or white "spinner" in the login button), or the screen goes dark, and it's not possible to enter the password or proceed.

 

What's causing this?

This is a technical error related to login on certain older iPad models. There's nothing wrong with your account, and there's no block on your device – login works normally on iPhone, on Android, and via web browser.

 

What can you do?

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of the Skippo app (version 12.2.5 or later). Update via the App Store.
  2. It's also a good idea to check that your iPad has the latest available iOS version (Settings → General → Software Update). The latest available iOS version is 26.5.2.

In most cases, simply updating the Skippo app is enough to get login working again – even if your iPad is too old to update iOS.
